59 Degrees

59 Degrees is a Swedish organization expert in soil health, introducing Soil Architecture, a holistic approach to improving plant-soil functionality and boosting crop vitality. By integrating time-tested methods with biological innovations, they help landowners enhance soil fertility, maximize yields, and ensure long-term agricultural resilience. Led by Josef Winter, a seasoned arborist and consultant, 59 Degrees is working to adapt and introduce Syntropic Agriculture to the Nordic region. This method aims to create self-sustaining, highly productive ecosystems that minimize external inputs while restoring biodiversity and soil health.Together with 59 Degrees, led by Josef Winter, Life Terra has supported the transformation of a former horse paddock in Munsö into a thriving agroforestry system. In Spring 2025, we joined forces with Adyen and 59 Degrees to host a community planting day, bringing volunteers from Stockholm to help plant a mix of native trees and shrubs.

The project aims to create a model for regenerative agriculture in the Nordic region, building resilience, biodiversity, and community along the way. We're proud to support Josef’s inspiring work and look forward to growing this collaboration.
