Reforest Nation
Reforest Nation is Ireland’s leading native tree planting initiative, dedicated to restoring biodiversity and combating climate change through affordable, community-driven reforestation. Since its founding, the organization has planted hundreds of thousands native trees across Ireland, engaging individuals, schools, and businesses in creating diverse, resilient forests. Their projects emphasize ecological integrity, utilizing native species and innovative methods like the Miyawaki technique to rapidly establish thriving ecosystems.
In 2025, Life Terra and Reforest Nation began collaborating, focusing on knowledge exchange and facilitation. A key highlight of this partnership is the support for Reforest Nation’s Miyawaki forest project in Wicklow, where 30,000 native trees have been planted over the past three years. Life Terra contributed by assisting in the geolocation of this project, enabling its inclusion in the European reforestation counter. Both organizations share a commitment to ecosystem restoration and fostering a deeper connection between people and nature.
