Camping Rorik, Beverwijk
About the project
Camping Rorik is a prime location for reforestation near Amsterdam. In the country with the highest human density and land price per square meter in Europe, having land owners willing to plant trees so close to the capital is rare. Part of the Rorik Estate, a community hosting organic farming, vineyard, restoration, and more, the Camping Rorik owner aims to further the sustainable connection to the land all estate stakeholders engage with by planting a few thousand additional wooden biomass. This organic and sustainable commitment contributes to the regional natural capital preservation and growth.
Objective
Contribute to the transformation of a 32-hectare Polder into a biodiverse, productive, and climate-resilient species Estate promoting, among other,s good health, wellbeing, natural capital, responsible land use and climate action.

Impact
By supporting this project, you will help restore degraded land with adapted, aesthetic, and diverse wooden biomass cover, enhancing ecosystem services in the area. It will improve soil quality, boost water infiltration and biodiversity, store carbon for decades, and increase landscape value.
