Lentillères, France
Lentillères, in Ardèche (France), is an area highly affected by deforestation and water erosion.
Together with 2ºmuch! and ASES we developed the Forest4Future project and planted 1,000 new trees and bushes to revitalize the soil, foster biodiversity, and create a resilient forest for generations to come.
To ensure the ecosystem would thrive again, we selected 20 different species that will provide habitats for local fauna and serve as a crucial carbon sink to combat climate change.
Also, to combat and slow down erosion, the soil was previously prepared with wood structures to protect the future forest.

Lentillères is located in the south of France with a varied climate: hot and dry summers and mild winters in the south with cooler conditions and occasional snow in the northern regions.

Soil Conservation: The planting of 1,000 new trees and bushes has helped anchor the soil, preventing erosion, degradation and runoff.
Temperature Regulation: The newly established vegetation acts as a natural insulator, moderating temperature fluctuations in the area.
Humidity and Water Management: The diverse plantings aid in water retention, reducing the risk of drought and ensuring a more stable water supply for the ecosystem.
