Viveros Fuenteamarga is one of Spain’s biggest supplier of seedlings and saplings, with a production of 6.5 million plants per year and more than 140 species. They are experts in plant and forest restoration and are pioneers in the study and control of forest diseases.

Furthermore, they use state of the art techniques for the inoculation of plant’s roots with mycorrhizae. Also it is investigating a new emerging field in this sector, called “productive spores” (such as truffles, specific high value mushrooms, etc.) in order to add more value to plants and provide clients with more productive trees and bushes.

The company is renowned for its high quality seedlings and saplings, they use a traceability system for their seeds, always use native species and have a long tradition of growing drought resistant plants. Currently, production is sent to clients active in forest restoration, environmental restoration, civil works, restoration of closed landfill sites and former mines, as well as for commercial timber and biomass plantations, green filters, etc.

Viveros Fuenteamarga has its own laboratory to not only control its internal production processes, but also to further research and develop radical root mycorrhization and the growth of Ectomycorrhizal fungi.

Viveros Fuenteamarga provides trees for planting (citizens & professionals) and will carry out biochar trials to substitute peat in seedling production.
